2018 Junior Class Board
MEET THE MEMBERS
Shojeh Liu // President
If you're reading this, Hello! I'm Shojeh Liu, 2018 Class President. This'll be my third year as class President, and I'm extremely grateful to my class for the opportunity to give back to the Lowell community. When I first came to Lowell, on the first day of orientation, and met my fellow classmates, I fell in love with this place. Everyone was so friendly and confident and just overall AMAZING. As time passed by I got to and continue to get to know my classmates better and better, and, in all honesty, they (you) all blow me away. Addressing my classmates: You all amaze me. Because of my good experiences with people in the Class of 2018, when I learned about student government and school elections, I jumped at the chance to hopefully make each and every one of my classmate's highschool experiences even just a little bit cooler, better, and more memorable. This year as a board, we're mostly focused on Junior Prom, the Escape Dance and fundraising for these events and Class graduation. I hope you're just as excited as me about Junior Prom and Escape, which hasn't legitimately happened for years! We're also hoping to bring more innovative fundraisers to the Lowell community and kill two birds with one stone, fundraising for events and bringing things to Lowell that people at Lowell want. |
Fellenia Chan // Vice President
Hi people, peeps, whoever may be reading this! My name is Fellenia Chan and this will be my second term as Vice President of the Class of 2018. Last year, I had the amazing opportunity to work with the rest of the board on fundraisers, spirit committee, and just got the chance to get to know the amazing people and community at Lowell High School – a community that I am learning to love more and more as the days (weeks, years) go by. I can’t believe our entire board, myself included, are going to be juniors/ upperclassmen this year (.-.) My goal for our board this year is to continue boosting up that school spirit! The number of people involved this past school year in spirit committee increased considerably from freshman year- not to mention the work that they produced looked amazing. With the next spirit week around the corner, I really hope that number can continue to rise. Not only that, I’m really looking forward to seeing the outcome of all the hard work Junior prom/ escape committee have been putting into each of their events. Also, a few things about me – I really enjoy watching dramas, anime, and just doodling for fun. As well as that, when I’m not occupied with LSA work, I enjoy giving back to the community by volunteering or participating in community projects (mostly through Interact Club). Finally, I really like meeting and talking to new people, so feel free to talk to me if/ when you see me at school! |
Uma Krishnaswamy // Secretary
Greetings! Yo soy Uma Krishnaswamy, and I'm extremely excited to serve my third term as 2018 Secretary. I'm still finding it difficult to fathom the fact that we are halfway done with high school, and it's important we make these last two years count, so be on the lookout for fun events coming your way! Anyway a little about me: I enjoy Chipotle, Noah's Thintastic Club (with Garden Veggie Shmear instead of Roasted Tomato), and dogs. Additionally, a quote I like to live by is, "Work hard in silence; let your Lamborghini make some noise." I am thrilled to get to know you all (or to make the attempt, this school is huge), and if you see me in the hall, classroom, roof, don't be afraid to say hi! |
Savinnie Ho // Treasurer
Hola amigos/gas! My name is Savinnie Ho and it’s going to be my second year in LSA as the 2018 treasurer! I love giving back to the Lowell community with what I love to do most, COUNTING MONEY! Well, this year, I hope to do a lot more of that by earning more dough with our board through fundraising and other events. I would also love to see more of your glamorous smiles flashing in the hallways! When I’m not occupied with academic work, I love being in nature and doing some service projects. I also love backpacking, stepping on grass, and playing ultimate Frisbee. Aside from that, I love making music and smiling. You might already know that my face is a little bit distorted as I love having the edges of my mouth almost touching my ears. I also have a beautiful quadruple chin haha! A lady on the bus once told me that I have beautiful ears. Not only are they beautiful, they’re also pretty good at listening attentively and digesting stories so please don’t be afraid to hit me up if you ever need any help, hugs, or if you just want to talk about the world! Everything is muy bien! |
Khianna Byrne // Public Relations
Hello Hello! I’m Khianna Byrne, your 2018 Public Relations. This is my first year on LSA and I'm stoked. As many may know, I’ve got this byrne-ing passion ( ahahaha ) for art and design, and I’m ready to contribute my artistic abilities to the Lowell community. As PR, my job includes making posters, fliers, and other advertisements for our class. ( I’ll make them super snazzy I promise ) If you wanna know a few things about me: I enjoy watching old movies, I drink coffee like water, I love dogs, and I’m secretly an air hockey prodigy ( your jaw would drop at my air hockey skills I swear ). Im also filled with a bunch of small/quirky talents so if you’re looking to be ( slightly ) amazed then I’m your girl. Other than that, I’m totally excited to reach out to all of you and listen to your brilliant ideas. Im hoping to pump up our class spirit this year and get to know everyone a little better. So, if you have any ideas or just wanna chat, look for me! |
Scout Mucher // Historian
I'm Scout Mucher, and this is my 2nd year as the 2018 historian. I've enjoyed my time on LSA more than I could have imagined, and I really love getting to take photos of everyone! My favorite thing about Lowell is the people! You can meet so many wonderful people in your classes, clubs and extracurriculars. I've made so many friends by being involved at Lowell and I can't imagine my time here without them. My favorite things to photograph are portraits and nature shots, and my favorite things to photograph as historian are the rallies. I also love spirit days and other times when people dress up, because I'll take students photos and then they might make it on to our Instagram! My job may be focused on photographing our class, I also co-run our social media pages with our PR. I can't wait for our junior year and all the fun we will have! |
