LSA 2022 President Candidates
Hey Juniors! My name is Alex Sima, and I’m running for senior class president. Let’s face it, our high school experience has pretty much been ruined by this pandemic. We have to make the most out of this last year.
Using the skills I’ve accumulated over the years in LSA, mock trial, and debate, I’m going to organize both traditional (Graduation, Senior Sunrise, etc.) and new events that’ll be a blast for everyone! I’m bringing in the cash—whether it’s fundraising or writing grants. You can count on me to do a spectacular job.
Let’s also bring back the hype! We might as well have some fun while we’re at it, right? I’m talking about burning homework at beach bonfires, watching movies at that new theater in Stonestown, in-person class bonding, you name it!
I’m always available to talk about any concerns you have about our school, or even just about life. I’m committed to representing you guys and communicating your demands to our council, as well as holding our school administration accountable. Don’t hesitate to reach out to me on Instagram @sima.is.a.hot.pocket! I can’t wait to see you guys back at school!
Hi Juniors! My name is Sherry, and I’m running to be your Senior Class President.
Having gone through so much instability this year, it’s imperative that LSA has experienced leaders as we transition back to normalcy. I’ve served as the 2022 VP, working with the president on just about everything. From facilitating meetings and overseeing our JPROM/ESCAPE committees, to creating events, I’ve learned how to get things done efficiently, and have shown that I’m the most capable candidate for this presidency.
My biggest goal next year is to provide support for you. This means providing mental health and informational resources to guide you during the college app process, creating clearer communication between students and SFUSD leadership, and using our social media to highlight the different projects you all are working on. But most importantly, it means building community through the different events that occur senior year, and having been mentored by past LSA Senior presidents, I know this process well. You want more from your Lowell experience, and I’m committed to making that happen: equitably, efficiently, and with transparency. That’s why I’m asking for your vote now, for you to put a checkmark next to Sherry for 2022 President.
