Student Advisory Council
The SAC is a citywide, youth-led organization that is committed to providing a voice for the students of the San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) by representing and presenting the interests of the students to the administrative and policy making bodies of the SFUSD.
Each school can have 2-3 representatives on the SAC. In addition to the representatives, there are two Student Delegates who sit in the Board of Education as advisors about the opinions of the students. The SAC works at its best when each school is represented and when the representatives can learn what their fellow students care about.

Representative Jessi YuHi all! My name’s Jessi and I’m one of your Lowell representatives on the Student Advisory Council. As a representative on the SAC, my job is to liaise between our school and the district, bringing new issues and ideas from and to Lowell. I also serve as the SAC Commissioner of Leadership and Engagement where I connect our school district with the rest of the city
One of the things I’m most passionate about is personal and institutional sustainability. This year, I want to work to make sure that we as Lowell and as a district address issues of environmental inequality and start engaging students in sustainable curriculum. Anyways, when I’m not doing homework or working on college apps, you can usually find me at your local burrito restaurant or at home making throwback Spotify playlists. Despite distance learning, I’m really excited for what this year has to bring. As a rep, my job is to listen, so if you ever need anything, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me.
