LSA 2023 Treasurer Candidates
Aliyah Hunter
Hey y’all! My name is Aliyah and I’m running for your LSA 2023 Treasurer. Thank you all for voting this year! As BSU Treasurer, I managed the finances of our COVID giveback project where I purchased the hygiene and pandemic necessities. I also oversaw our incoming donations and funds as well as expenses like our BSU merchandise. Aside from my role as BSU Treasurer, I’ve spoken out on incidents that took place within the Lowell Community and I’m currently planning an amazing Junior Prom for you all. As BSU Treasurer and Co-Vice President of your Junior Prom Committee, I’ve shown that I have the leadership ability we need to help change our school for the better.
If elected, I would use the skills I’ve gained to balance a budget, organize sales for our class events, and oversee ticket distribution. I’ll also make sure that serious topics such as racism and mental health are at the forefront because students' health and fair treatment for all students’ matters to me and I believe that tackling these issues will help build a safer environment at Lowell. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me on Instagram @_.0hlele._!
