2017 Junior Class Board
Hey Class of 2017!! We're very excited to be your class board this year! One of our priorities is to host more activities in addition to dances and rallies: events like 'Junior hangouts', movie nights, and more. We’re also going to have new fundraisers, so keep an eye out for that. If you have any ideas, please let us know! Besides the usual LSA dances and events, this year we also have Junior Prom and Lowell Escape, both planned by our own Junior dance committees.
It's also very important to us to stay connected with everyone. We're looking to make registry visits more periodic and continue to manage several social media accounts. Don't hesitate to give us your feedback, ideas, comments, or questions--we want to hear from you! It'll help us to help you.
Here's to a great Junior year!
2017 Board
MEET THE MEMBERS
Jonathan Chu // President
Hi there! I'm very excited to be back for a third term as 2017 Class President! Can you believe that we're already in the 'second half' of high school? :0 It's especially important this year that we keep building on our spirit and class unity to help us stay relaxed about schoolwork and other activities, so keep your eyes and ears open for fun events to come! On a personal level, if we still haven't met or talked before, let's do, please! Outside of school, I study classical violin and piano. I also like to speedcube (solve Rubik's cubes for speed) and play racquet sports in my free time. Check out our 2017 Board page if you haven't already =D Can't wait for an awesome year! |
Andy Huang // Vice President
Hey guys! I’m Andy Huang, your 2017 Vice President! Of the many hobbies I enjoy, the more notable ones include swimming, helping/tutoring people, and even frisbee throwing :OO. As we traverse through junior year, it’s crucial that we close gaps and bring our class closer together, so that we’re all well informed about awesome events! With big events like junior prom and escape coming up, I’m looking forward to making this year as memorable as possible for all of us! As VP, one of my jobs is to make sure that the opinions you voice are heard throughout LSA and that we can help make appropriate changes to benefit the student body. So if you have any suggestions or questions, feel free to friend me on Facebook or with me in person; anything is appreciated. Really excited for the school year, and can’t wait to see you all! :D |
Justine Shek // Secretary
Hey! My name's Justine Shek and this will be my 3rd year on LSA as 2017 secretary! A few things about me: I am still in love with boba and I'm still a neat freak!! (Haha some things never change) Anyways, these past 2 years have been great and it's been a pleasure to serve the people of our 2017 class! I'm excited see what this year has in store for us!! (I'm sure it'll be better than years before!) btw, don't forget to wave hi to me in the hallways! I'm always open to meeting new people! :)

Shania Lee // Treasurer
Hi guys!! I'm Shania, and I'm super excited to be serving as your class treasurer! I was inspired to run for LSA when I became a part of Junior Prom Committee, since I loved being involved in the school and wanted to contribute more (you can also check out my bio on the 2017 Lowell JProm Committee page). As your treasurer, I will take responsibility for all money that goes in and out, as well as collaborating with the board to concoct fun events and generate MORE SPIRIT. So a little bit about me: Despite my "sophisticated" obsession to macarons (though some might describe it as insane) and uncanny interest in analyzing nutrition labels (yes, a health nut, despite my undying love for macarons and sweets), I'm really just a little kid at heart! My love for EVERYTHING Disney, the fact that any joke/pun will brighten my day (exceptions for inappropriate ones, particulars for poop jokes), my tendency to dance awkwardly to good songs in good company, the list goes on! I just love having fun and making people smile. So brace yourselves for an awesome junior year prepared by your dedicated class board and don't ever be afraid to stop me and say hi! :) |
Gina Liu // Public Relations
Hola amigos and amigas!(All the Spanish I know) I’m so thrilled to be your 2017 Public Relations Officer and as your PR, it is my job to design posters and keep you updated on news and events with my board to help raise money. I ran for this position hoping to contribute to the Lowell community in the way I love most, ART. I have a love for the arts, including visual arts, dance, and music. When I’m not in class, you’ll either see me dancing disco moves, munching on sushi(without rice), or doodling away in a faraway land where uni-corns have corns as their horns.(I can rhyme) Feel free to talk, hug, dance, or even just say "hi" to me, I promise I won’t hurt you! J LET’S HAVE A MAGICALISTIC YEAR!! |
Jessica Ngai // Historian
Hey, what's up? hello.
I'm Jessica Ngai, and this is going to be my third year serving you as the 2017 historian! Being apart of the Junior Prom as well as the Junior Escape committee might be stressful but I am super stoked for this year to begin. I decided to run for LSA since my freshman year to be involved with our school, give back, and bring my class together as one while accepting all our differences. My goals as historian this year is being responsible for documenting the precious moments at all major events, but aside from that is contributing my ideas at meetings, organize events, and create fundraisers. Most importantly I would love to build and maintain a notable relationship among LSA and the entire student body. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns feel free to reach out to me :D
