Instructions
  • Print out the application (double-sided preferred!) and fill out your extracurricular activities (must be school related) and get sponsor signatures.
  • For sports, if your coach NO LONGER COACHES AT LOWELL, please try to insert a picture from the yearbook.
  • For all sports (except Lowell Dragon Boat), the unit of participation is a “SEASON”.   If you played on the Football team for your Freshman and Sophomore years, then you put “Football 2x”.
  • Sports Achievements, such as MVP, or First Place in State’s, must be for your INDIVIDUAL performance, not the entire team’s.
  • For clubs and Lowell Dragon Boat:  the unit of participation is a “SEMESTER”.  If you were in Dragon Boat for both semesters of each of your Freshman and Sophomore Years, then you put “Dragon Boat 4x” under the Sports Category.
  • If you were in BuildOn for 3 semesters as a member, and 2 semesters as an officer, then you would put: “BuildOn 3x”;  “BuildOn Officer 2x”. in the clubs category.
  • Listed activities must not be activities that are also on your transcript!
    • Ex. Journalism should only be listed if you did work beyond what is normally considered part of the class.
    • Ex. If you’re in orchestra, but you joined pit orchestra or all city, that is beyond the class. Thus, that can be included in your application.
  • Current semester's activities do not count!
    • Ex. If you are a first semester Junior and you have participated in FBLA every semester of your high school career, then you would still only list 4x semesters of FBLA.
  • If you transferred from a different high school, you may include the activities you participated in at that school. Insert a yearbook photo if possible. Otherwise, contact us regarding special circumstances.
