We are the Lowell Pre-Med Club, and we educate students about the fields of medicine through informative presentations, games, medical-related volunteer opportunities/activities, and guest speaker events in order to inspire students to pursue a career in health care. We hope that we can help all of our members to not only become more knowledgeable about medicine, but also develop a passion for it!
Our goal is to provide as many opportunities as possible to inspire members to pursue medicine in the future. Regular hands-on activities include modeling lungs, suturing, face mask sewing, tourniquet tying, taking vital signs, and more! In addition, we often invite professionals from the medical field to join our meetings to talk about their experiences and share advice, as well as give educational presentations on certain healthcare topics and volunteering opportunities. During distance learning, we will have more guest speakers and informational presentations in place of hands-on activities and games, but we are working on being able to do certain activities at home, which we would provide materials for participating members!
