Quiz Bowl
Quiz Bowl is a buzzer-based academic competition (think Jeopardy!) that tests a variety of subjects, from science, history, and literature, to films, music, and sports. If you’re curious, inquisitive, and think every piece of knowledge makes you a more interesting person, then Lowell Quiz Bowl is the perfect place for you!
We are a top-ranked team at the California Classic tournament series and placed third at the Midsummer Classic, a national online tournament (see the trophy below!). Though for many, normal club activities are compromised or cancelled due to COVID-19, there is a vibrant online quiz bowl scene, ensuring that Lowell Quiz Bowl will actually be attending more tournaments than usual. (10 tournaments since shelter-in-place was implemented in mid-March)!) However, tournaments aren’t our only focus; we strive to build a community in which people can share their knowledge and form long-lasting friendships, and regularly hold game nights for team bonding.
