Hello Lowell! We are Young Investors Society, a YIS chapter at Lowell HS. YIS host over 2,000 schools around the world, with over 11,000 students. We teach many valuable concepts including accounting, ethics, economics, psychology, mathematics, business strategy and entrepreneurship. During each meeting, we will go over future competitions, summits, and conferences. We will also go over strategies, tips, and ideas for the competitions. Some popular competitions include the Global Stock Pitch Competition, where we defend whether to buy or sell a stock to a panel of judges. It is a great opportunity to get into investing, the earlier you invest, the more powerful it becomes. We will also be attending local and virtual competitions, not associated with YIS, which include the Youth Citizen Entrepreneurship Competition and the Wharton Global High School Investment Competition. EVERYONE is welcome to join our meetings, no experience is required, and we will help you set up your YIS account.
