MEET THE MEMBERS
2020 President Andrew SimaHey Class of 2020 Juniors!! My name is Andrew Sima and I am extremely honored to be your president for the 2018-2019 school year!
Here are some “fun” facts about me:
|
My goal in the following year is to make life enjoyable for all of Class of 2020! I know we all feel crippling depression and sleep deprivation from Lowell, but the LSA 2020 board will do its best to ensure that our events are engaging for everyone. We’re not perfect, so never hesitate to reach out to us! Feel free to email [email protected] anytime you have any questions and add me on Facebook or Instagram (sima.demon)!
Remember to have fun during the school year!! Don’t forget to attend the dances and drop on that sick beat! Go Class of 2020 (We’re obviously the best)!!

2020 Vice President Ethan OstrowHey Class of 2020! I’m Ethan Ostrow, your current Vice President. I’m incredibly hyped to serve the class that is *obviously the best at Lowell*. I am fully committed to making sure you have the most enjoyable year yet, with awesome fundraisers, and a unforgettable JProm.
Outside of LSA I’m a member of the Lowell Mock Trial team and President of the Outdoor Club. When I’m not doing Lowell-related activities I can be found playing along to jazz or heavy metal on the drums, programming websites and (often useless) chatbots, or spending time outdoors, ideally either climbing mountains or speeding down a ski slope. Some say they’ve seen me running around on soccer fields in a bright yellow jersey blowing a whistle. |
I promise that if you say hi to me in the halls, I will not blow a whistle in your face. In fact I’d really like to get to know as many people in our *superior class* as possible. I also claim to be fluent in Spanish; feel free to put me to the test. If you can’t find me around Lowell, hit me up at my email: [email protected] or on Facebook/Instagram/Snapchat, as I’d love to chat.
2020 Secretary Mariko TanakaHey guys my name is Mariko Tanaka and I’m your 2020 Secretary! It’s been an honor serving as your Secretary for the past two years and I’m very excited to be on the board again. Outside of being on the student board, I am also on Lowell Varsity Volleyball and am the President of 2020 Escape Committee. In my free time I love to watch movies, eat food, sleep, and well play volleyball. I really hope that I can contribute to our classes’ events and make them fun for everyone! If you ever see me in the halls or around school, don’t hesitate to say hello! Thank you so much for electing me and I hope to make our school year a success!

2020 Treasurer Emily ChanHey guys! My name is Emily and I’m so honored to be serving my third term on LSA! As your 2020 Treasurer, my main priority is to make sure that all the money is accounted for, as well as work with the board to budget and plan events and fundraisers! On top of LSA, this will be also be my second year as a Peer Mentor and president of Lowell’s Red Cross club!
A few fun facts about me: |
- i love boba (call me basic but i love a classic milk tea)
- go avocado smoothies in bowls woot woot
- i love starbucks (a venti mocha frappuccino because only ventis are worth it; it's also the source of my energy)
- I LOVE DISNEY EVERYTHING
- favorite movies: how to train your dragon, big hero 6, tangled
- pineapples on pizza, don’t question it!
If you ever have any ideas, please don’t be afraid to approach me because I’ll definitely do my best to make it happen! You can catch me in the cave during my free time, in the courtyard with some friends, or anywhere there’s free boba or Starbucks. :) And if you can’t find me in person, just hit me up on Facebook, Instagram (@therealemilychan), or email me at [email protected]. I can’t wait to make more precious memories with you guys this year! GO 2020 JUNIORS!
2020 Historian Lauren ShewHey Lowellites!! My name is Lauren Shew and this will be my third year as your 2020 Historian. My job on LSA consists of taking photos at rallies and dances, as well as helping our PR publicize upcoming events on Instagram (@lsa2020board). During school functions I'm always walking around with a camera in my hand encapsulating everyone's laughter in our class. Feel free to also approach me if you would like your photo taken, or send in photos you took to me!! After events, I always post a HUGE SPAM of all the photos I took on our 2020 Instagram account, so my apologies in advance when your feed has been bombarded with Lowellites.

I feel that being a part of LSA these past two years has pushed me out of my comfort zone, and coerced me into making an effort to talk to everyone in the 2020 class. In addition to being a LSA board member, I'm also on the Girl's Varsity Golf team and President of our 2020 JProm Committee. You can be sure to find me in the courtyard laughing with friends, or in the Cave (room 80A) doing work for our upcoming events. If you ever have any questions for me or our 2020 board you can always talk to me, and my email is [email protected]. I look forward to meeting everyone this year, see you in the halls!!
2020 Public Relations Katrina WongHey! My name is Katrina and I’m very excited to serve as your Public Relations Officer! I enjoy all things artsy, especially drawing and photography. In my free time, I’m probably with my friends delving into the outdoors, having picnics atop of serene cliffs, taking photos while exploring the city, or checking things off my bucket list.
This year being my first year on LSA, I look forward to bringing my art to the halls, as well as using it to publicize events on social media. Aside from LSA, I’m also a member of Red Cross Club, and the Public Relations Officer of our 2020 Junior Prom Committee. You’re most likely to find me around the halls listening to music or running to my second block class late, but feel free to stop me and say hi! |
