2020 Sophomore Class Board
MEET THE MEMBERS
President Andrew SimaHey Class of 2020!! My name is Andrew Sima and I have the pleasure of serving the talented sophomore class for the 2017-2018 year. My mission this year is to channel my charisma towards empowering everyone else to participate more in school wide events. We're gonna bring down the cost of food sales so that everyone can afford and contribute to the budget for planning costly events like Senior Boat and the Proms we are going to have in future years. As many of you guys know, I have a weird affinity for puns and I am commonly called the PUN-isher. I also love music, so let's get down to that sick beat!! Anyway, good luck to everyone with the school year and hopefully you guys will have lots of fun!!

Vice President Aracely SeminarioHey guys! I'm Aracely Seminario and I'm your 2020 Vice President. I'm so excited to work with all of you this year! I am part of the 2020 spirit committee and I'm the leader of the 2020 dance committee. My favorite subject is history but if lunch were an option I would definitely pick lunch. I play volleyball for a club team named Sláinte. I also love to dance. My favorite type of dance is jazz. I have a slight obsession for Shawn Mendes and Grey's Anatomy. If you ever hear Shawn Mendes in the hallway... you know I'm near. I'm usually either on the field with my friends, in the cave or at Stonestown. If you ever see me in the halls please don't be afraid to say hi. I promise I don't bite. Lowell can be stressful but hang in there. As Vice President I am in charge of reg reps. I will be at all the dances and you should be too! I will make sure that reg rep meetings are held more often in order for your thoughts to be taken into consideration. It is my first year as Vice President but I hope to learn a lot from both you guys and my board. If you need to contact me my email is aracelyseminario01@gmail.com. See you around!

Outside of LSA, I am the president of Escape committee, also on the Lowell Girls’ Varsity Volleyball team, joining Lowell Girls’ Junior Varsity Basketball team, and just got accepted into Lowell’s Hapa club! I highly encourage to be very involved with Lowell’s extracurriculars because not only is it fun, you meet many new friends and force you to have good time management. Being on the LSA 2020 board last year and starting this year is really a privilege and I am very thankful that this sophomore class elected me to be your secretary, so thank you very much. I hope that I see all of you in the halls and don’t be scared to greet me! Haha I don’t bite! I look forward to having a great school year!
Treasurer Emily ChanHey guys! My name is Emily Chan, and I’m so grateful to have been re-elected as the 2020 Treasurer! As your treasurer, I make sure that the cash we raise does not go to waste by assuring the best deals from companies and having cheap prices for fundraisers. I also count the money and manage the budget, as well as provide reimbursements. The more money we can raise, the better your events will be, and the more free/cheap stuff you get. (I mean, who wouldn’t want to save a few bucks?) As your board, we’ll be holding many fundraisers, and we want your input. As I promised during my campaign, there will be a survey for you to provide any fundraiser or event ideas!

Aside from LSA, I’m also in Heart in Motion, Lowell Science Research Program, a Peer Mentor, and President of the Red Cross Club. I’m also an avid fan of Disney, macarons and boba. And chocolate chip cookies. And Starbucks. My hobbies include any form of art, photography, reading and sleeping! In my free time, you can find me in the Cave working on new projects, studying in the library or at the flagpole. I’m also super approachable, so please don’t hesitate to ask me any questions or suggest ideas if you see me in the halls! Also, please feel free to contact me at my email, emilychan479@gmail.com. See you around!
Public Relations Michelle WongHi! My name is Michelle, and I'm your 2020 Public Relations Officer! I'm in charge of making sure that our grade stays updated on what’s going on around Lowell, whether it be through posters, flyers, or social media. I'm also head of art committee, where we make most of the especial artwork and beautiful paintings you see in the halls, and during the rallies!
During my free time, I enjoy running, doing yoga, and talking to strangers, a slightly hazardous hobby. But if you need help, or ever want to just talk to someone, feel free to email or find me-- at the cave, running around campus with Cross Country, or just stop me in the hallways:) Let's have a great year! Historian Lauren ShewHey Lowellites!! My name is Lauren Shew and I'm excited to have been re-elected as your 2020 Historian. My job on LSA consists of taking photos at rallies and dances, as well as helping our PR publicize upcoming events on Instagram (@lsa2020board). During school functions I'm always walking around with a camera in my hand encapsulating everyone's laughter in our class. Feel free to also approach me if you would like your photo taken, or send in photos you took to me!! After events, I always post a HUGE SPAM of all the photos I took on our 2020 Instagram account, so my apologies in advanced when your feed has been bombarded with Lowellites.
I feel that being a part of LSA these past two years has pushed me out of my comfort zone, and coerced me into making an effort to talk to everyone in the 2020 class. In addition to being a LSA board member, I'm also the president of the 2020 Junior Prom Committee, on the Girl's Varsity Golf team, a member of Key Club (volunteer based), and a member of Lowell's Red Cross. You can be sure to find me in the courtyard laughing with friends, or in the Cave (room 80A) doing work for our upcoming events. If you ever have any questions for me or our 2020 board you can always talk to me, and my email is laurenshew@gmail.com. I look forward to meeting everyone this year, see you in the halls!! |
