Lowell Business and Economics is a discussion-based club which focuses on business economics, and the ways in which they relate to our everyday lives. Our meetings usually start with an introduction to a new concept, through videos and lectures, followed by an open discussion and occasional kahoots with prizes! We will be learning about business-economic topics that range from local to global and micro to macro. Some examples include the effects of monopoly, entrepreneurship, gentrification in San Francisco, economic effects of the tech industry in the Bay Area, and etc. In this coming year, we hope to add a component on making smart financial decisions(since we’re all students) and learn about how our everyday decisions are affecting the economy! Everyone is welcome to join our club! Whether you are interested in a career in business and economics, you want to understand how Amazon’s success will affect your future, or you just want to learn about smart ways to invest in stocks for retirement, don’t be scared to stop by one of our meetings! (Also we have free food)
