Lowell Operation Smile

Picture
Mission:
One in 700 children are born with cleft lip. Unable to speak, eat, socialize, and smile, they can be rejected or disowned. Parents of these children often can’t afford to give them surgery, which is necessary to help them live a productive life.
Operation Smile is an international medical charity that fundraises for children born with deformities such as cleft lip and cleft palate so that they can get safe reconstructive surgery.
What we do:
We will not only fundraise for children with cleft lip, but also do service projects such as donation drives and create medical supplies needed for surgery.
In addition to helping those with cleft lip, members are encouraged to give back to Lowell and the community. For example, events like volunteering at hospitals and food banks and making cards for retirement homes are going to be planned all throughout the school year.

Join if you’re interested in the medical field, gaining leadership experience, or contributing to the local and international community!
