President Joanna Lam
Hello, hello, hello! My name is Joanna Lam and I am honored to serve as your SBC President. This will be my fourth year on LSA, and I know that it will be the best year yet! Here’s to fun events and good memories!
I hope to prioritize equity and transparency in our work and I want to use SBC & LSA’s platform to uplift underrepresented voices at our school. This pandemic has divided our community like never before, and as we return to school, I want to strengthen connections with our different stakeholder groups.
Outside of school, you might catch me on SFUSD Board of Education meetings, where I am one of two Student Delegates! My hobbies include: rearranging my closet for the 50th time, learning new languages but being too anxious to actually try to speak any of them, and riding around on my penny board.
Don’t be shy, say hi! Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org (or the SBC email) and feel free to DM me on Instagram, @joanna.lambchop
Vice President Ethan Liang
My name is Ethan and I’m stoked to be serving as your SBC Vice President this year! I’m excited to be working with the rest of the board on events like dances, rallies, social events, and seminars to make our year back at school as smooth, memorable, and fruitful as possible.
At Lowell, I’m also involved in CSF, Shield and Scroll, Peer Mentoring, and Varsity Parliamentary Debate. A few of my hobbies include exploring the city on my bike, learning to play songs on the violin by ear, exercising, hunting for the best chicken sandwich in SF, and getting hard-carried by my friends in nearly every video game we play.
If you ever need to reach me, my email is email@example.com and my Instagram is @ethanhliang.
Here’s to a great year!
Elections Commissioner Alyson Chen
Hello everyone! My name is Alyson Chen and I’m your 2021-2022 SBC Elections Commissioner! For the past year, I’ve been constantly involved in our school elections as part of the SBC elections committee. It’s been sooo long since we’ve had in person elections and I’m super excited to meet our future leaders. Outside of SBC, you can find a little bit of me everywhere, and in my free time, you can probably find me watching sitcoms, telling somebody about my nap time dreams, or baking cookies.
I love meeting new people, so if you see me around school, don’t be afraid to say hi! If you ever need anything, feel free to DM me @aly_son_chen on Instagram or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Secretary Maya Bhandari
Hey! My name is Maya Bhandari and I am excited to be your SBC Secretary. I cannot wait to make this next year fun and memorable. Along with ensuring that we all have a blast, I am passionate about our school community and making sure that each and every one of our students' voices are heard.
A few things I like to do in my free time:
~ Play basketball
~ Go on hikes
~ Cook and try new food (I am a total foodie)
~ Spend time with family and friends
Please feel free to reach out whenever :)
Treasurer Adrianna Zhang
Hello beautiful people! My name is Adrianna, I am your SBC treasurer! I look forward to working with LSA and with all of you to provide the funding necessary to bring your ideas to life. My main goal is to create/manage budgets, work with the school accountant, and make events more accessible for everyone. I hope to talk with you all soon and hear your ideas and questions!
If I am not in a meeting, I am making TikToks(ironically, most of the time), listening to music/podcasts, getting boba, or hanging out with friends. During this pandemic, I’ve learned to be an early riser so I’m always down to get coffee with y’all before school.
A fun fact about me is that I have very vivid, sometimes lucid, dreams so I keep a dream journal next to my bed.
Please feel free to reach out!
Community Liaison Cal Kinoshita
Hello everyone! I’m Cal Kinoshita, a junior, and this year I’ll be your Community Liaison! As Community Liaison, my purpose is to represent the student body on the School Site Council, PTSA, and the district-wide Student Advisory Council. I will voice Lowell students’ interests, questions, and opinions to all of these bodies, giving students a voice in these typically adult-dominated spaces. Within Lowell, I plan Social Awareness Week, highlighting a social issue and educating the student body about this issue through activities and presentations. Some past examples of Social Awareness Week topics include sexual violence and mental health, and I hope to continue the tradition of talking about and destigmatizing important topics. My main goals as Community Liaison are to uplift student voices, promote equity and inclusion, increase transparency from governing bodies, and connect with the Lowell Community!
Outside of my classes, I am passionate about politics, law, and leadership. I am an active member of Lowell Model United Nations, Parliamentary Debate, Mock Trial, Penpal Club, and Peer Mentoring for incoming freshmen (all of which you should join)! When I’m not doing any of the aforementioned activities, you can find me writing letters, reading the news, eating cheez-its, or watching TikToks!
If you ever have any questions or concerns, or you simply want to chat, don’t hesitate to reach out!

Club Coordinator Riley Gee
Hello everyone, my name is Riley Gee and I am super excited to serve as your SBC Club Coordinator for the 2021-2022 school year! While I haven’t been involved with LSA before this year, I have dedicated my time to serving our community being a member of CSF and Peer Mentoring. I am also a Secretary of Teens for Tutor and President of Shield and Scroll Honor and Service Society!
Since I was a freshman, Lowell clubs have always played a huge role in my student experience and I know they have for you as well. Whether they serve as a way to destress or extend what you’ve learned in class, you all have worked so hard to build your clubs to where they are today. As we shift back to in person learning, I’m really looking forward to creating an equitable transition system together that meets the needs of every single club and its members! If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to email the Club Coordinator email account, firstname.lastname@example.org, or DM me on Instagram @yonuffles. I’m looking forward to working with you all this year!
Events Coordinator Angela Li
Hi everyone! My name is Angela Li and I’m so excited to be your 2021-2022 SBC Events Coordinator! I’m in charge of planning and MCing rallies, talent shows, and other super fun schoolwide events.
In my free time, I absolutely love napping, napping, and even more napping. If I’m ever gone for a couple hours, just know that I’m probably taking a nap! Besides taking naps and doing homework, I enjoy hanging out with friends, being a night owl, and snacking. You’ll never catch me walking around without snacks in my bag!! I also really love dark chocolate. I mean, milk chocolate is just wayyy too sweet. If you ever have dark chocolate, don’t forget to share some with me :) !!
I’m always open to any questions, input, or ideas for our school events, so please don’t hesitate to contact me at email@example.com. Alternatively, you can also find me @xangelali on Instagram!
Dance Coordinator Donna Zeng
Hi guys! My name is Donna Zeng, and I’m your SBC Dance Coordinator for the 2021-2022 school year. As your Dance Coordinator, I hope to create an environment that lowers the stress that students all face. Hopefully once we graduate, Lowell will become a more welcoming and less intimidating school. I can’t wait to work with everyone in person again!
When I have free time, I love meeting new people and hanging out with friends. But when I’m super tired from schoolwork or socializing, I love drawing and binging Micheal Reeves on YouTube. Occasionally, you’d even find me wrapped in a blanket and reading in bed.
If you ever need someone to talk to, I’m all ears! Find me at @donna_zeng1 on instagram or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I can’t wait to see everyone again!!

Outside of LSA, you’ll find me with friends or my cat, Lucy. I enjoy watching Kids Try on YouTube, taking photos, and listening to music (Vista Kicks, Matt Maltose, and Bruno Major are some artists I really like).
Once we go back to school, say hi to me in the halls! I promise I’m really friendly. See you all soon.
