As passionate members of LSA and the Lowell community, our board strives to serve our student body to the best of our ability through fundraising for future class events and promoting spirit, as well as communication within the class of 2016.
GENERAL GOALS: FUNDRAISING- The amount of money our board fundraises, one of our foremost concerns, will all contribute to one of every high schoolers’ most important, memorable events...graduation. Proceeds also fund our senior year activities, such as transportation to the class picnic and our senior class trip, and other fun class events that help create a memorable time for our class at Lowell. SPIRIT-We plan to promote school spirit within our class beyond freshman year, when school spirit usually peaks, and increase pride to make each individual feel like a part of the Lowell community. Our board hopes to do so by hosting events that welcome and engage all students of 2016. By providing these opportunities for our class to mingle and bond, we aim to build a strong foundation for our class spirit to naturally grow from. COMMUNICATION- School events are intended to bond and unify the Lowell community. To maintain the warm, friendly Lowell community we have and to raise funding, our board hopes to facilitate greater class participation with such events through better communication and advertising. This year, we plan to brainstorm new ways to spread the word about school events and better utilize reg reps as a primary form of communication with the regs. SPECIFIC GOALS: EVENT PREP- We will work to organize our events much prior to the date. This includes designing our posters and fliers, and advertising as soon as we have confirmed the date of the event to encourage greater participation. FUNDRAISING GOALS- In our upcoming year, we aim to raise more money than our freshman year. To reach this goal, we will organize more car washes, food sales, scavenger hunts, and various other fundraisers. Not only do these events raise money for the class, it also helps our class bond through the teamwork and the class participation required to make these events successful.
