Hello Cardinals! My name is Stephanie Kuang and I am running to be your SBC Secretary! As a rising senior, my past 3 years at Lowell have been filled with not only an incredible amount of notes but also amazing opportunities and experiences, with student government being one of them.
As SBC Secretary, I would strive to create a more transparent relationship between the Lowell student body and student government. I'll use the experience I’ve gained from serving as the Secretary of LSA 2025, Shield and Scroll, Girls Who Code, and Red Cross to streamline a more direct understanding of what our student government is working on. I want our student body to feel heard and conscious of what their class boards are doing! A vote for Stephanie Kuang as SBC Secretary is a vote for an exciting and beneficial year for all! |
Hi! I’m Kara Truong, and I’m running for SBC Secretary. My main goal as secretary would be to effectively support and cooperate with my fellow SBC and LSA members to ensure we could work together to create the best high school experience for you.
Per my secretary role, I would work towards my goal by keeping all notes, materials, and resources organized, allowing for efficient access whenever we hold new events. I am fit for this position because I have a lot of experience that taught me the necessary skills needed for the secretary position, such as organization, attention to detail, collaboration, and note-taking. My experiences include Lowell Archery Club Co-President, 8th-grade class president, AVID/Note-taking class (2 yrs), Chinese school TA, and 70+ hours of volunteer work. Of course, I am still learning, so I would be happy to hear any suggestions or ideas you have! |
Hi everyone!
I’m Xin Bei Quan and I’m very glad to have the opportunity to run to be your SBC Secretary for the coming school year. I’m confident that your vote towards me will not go to waste! Over the course of my career as a student, I have familairized myself with managing files daily from my Google Drive or even for silly tasks, like my notes. Other than that I have been the secretary for Mock Trial and there are many documents to sort for tournments and safekeeping. Additonally, I am familiar with the SBC environment and responbsiblies. In the past, I was the class representative and would report back to my class with notes from all meetings. I hope that with my experiences I can bring to the table a stable and calm environment in meeting sessions and outside of them where everyone feels safe and heard! |
“GOOOOOOOD MORNING LOWELL '' or something of the sort would be what you hear during your rallies and festivals if you vote for DANAH AROONCHAIPIROM as your events coordinator for the 2024-25 school year.
My promise is to keep your favorite events and competitions like rallies and other school activities going strong while also introducing exciting new activities to spice things up! (Also we should start having rally games count towards spirit points shouldn't we…) |
Hey Cardinals! I'm Josie McCarty and I'm excited to be running for the Student Body Council's Dance Coordinator position. I've had my eye on this role for the past couple of years, and I even had a chance to chat with this year's representative. I'm hard-working and super organized, which are key qualities for this role. I am an active member of Lowell’s Women's Student Union and recently, I was elected as the public relations officer for Lowell's Helping in Children's Hospitals club, which has been an amazing experience. On top of that, I'm also a cheerleader for Lowell, so you know I'm all about school spirit! I aim to plan dances with fun and trendy themes that everyone can enjoy. I want to make our school dances the best they can be and represent Lowell with pride.

Hey Lowell! I'm Annie Mai, your spirited candidate for Community Liaison. As we approach a new year, I'm thrilled to serve our community through creative ideas and initiatives.
Over the past three years, I've passionately advocated for students, serving on the SFUSD Health Advisory Board, providing a crucial student voice as a Lowell Youth Outreach Worker, and guiding new students as a Transfer Peer Mentoring Project Leader. Beyond campus, I'm the Executive Director of a youth leadership non-profit focused on political awareness and a dedicated member of the NorCal Teen Advisory Board, improving mental health access nationwide. With my diverse experience, I'll foster school spirit, create lasting memories, and be the bridge connecting our voices. Annie Mai's the way - A better tomorrow awaits! I'll drive positive change and ensure every Cardinal feels represented. Vote Annie Mai for your next Community Liaison |
Hi Cardinals! My name is Alina Nitedthunyakij, and I’m running to be your next SBC Co-Community Liaison. Drawing from my experience as the president of the Medical Mystery Club at Lowell, I have developed the leadership and communication skills needed for this position. Whether you’re dealing with mental health issues or facing challenges like IBD similarly to my worksite supervisor, I’m committed to ensure that they do not go unnoticed and that the well being of our student body is a priority. In addition, I am an intern at A Living Library, a non-profit with the objective of bringing nature closer to youth and combating food insecurity through the cultivation of food crops in gardens. I believe in the fundamental importance of ensuring food security for every student because everyone’s essential needs should be met. Vote Alina Nitedthunyakij as your next SBC Co-community Liaison!

Hi, everyone, my name is Aidan Ayuyang and I’m currently running for the title of SBC Community Liaison. I believe that my “wits” and talents, along with my standings in the community make me an ideal candidate for the position. Being on Lowell Baseball, Band, and currently running for an officer position on Fil-Am allows me to listen to and bring forth the wants and needs of so many people, spanning from seniors to freshmen. Although I’m just a rising sophomore, I believe that it’s great to bring underclassmen into SBC; it’s nice to hear newer voices, especially with the high number of upperclassmen on the council. However, no matter the results, feel free to walk up to me and say hi! I’ll usually be either on the field practicing or in the practice rooms of Room 71 practicing, and if I’m not doing either of those, I’m probably sleeping.

Hey everyone! My name is Vicky Zhao and I’m running to be Student Body Council’s Public Relations officer! I have a year of experience on SBC, as I am currently the ONLY junior on SBC! As the Co- Public Relations officer this past year, I have worked closely with the SBC PR in order to manage Lowell's official Instagram account including posting and promoting events, creating banners for school wide events, designing photo booth films for our school dances and creating rally merch! Additionally I have been a designer, a video editor, and a social media manager for 6 years. Putting my past experiences into consideration, I promise to make our school year memorable by ensuring fun events and putting you all first. I’m always open to opinions and suggestions. I’ll devote my time and efforts to fully understand and represent the students of Lowell!
